The Craigdhu Parent Teacher Association is the fundraising and events branch of the parent body. It comprises of a group of parent volunteers who organise social events throughout the school year, such as discos and the Christmas Fayre, which provide important social opportunities for pupils and help to develop links between home and school. These events also help to raise money, and the PTA works in collaboration with the school to determine how these funds are allocated, helping to support priorities such as purchasing equipment and providing experiences for children which enhance their wellbeing and enjoyment.

Aims

  • To work in full partnership with the School to organise fundraising events through the school year
  • To provide partnership between the school, its pupils, parents and local community
  • To give input into how funds raised should be allocated within the school
    Role
  • Work in partnership with the school and the wider community to offer fundraising events which will benefit pupils

The PTA welcomes all levels of involvement, whether attending meetings or helping out at events. There are usually 7 meetings per year. If you would like to support the PTA, you do not need to attend every meeting. If you would like to become involved or wish a copy of minutes of the meeting, please contact the school office or PTA directly.
